Deception In The Media...Again

It would seem that “The DaVinci Code” has spawned it's own little sub-industry. Everywhere one looks, there are books, magazine articles, newspaper articles, television specials, and videos ad nauseum that purport to "prove" “The DaVinci Code” as true, or set out to disprove “The DaVinci Code” as fact. Yes, an entire genre has sprung up, based on a work of fiction that people are stupid enough....yes, stupid enough... to accept as fact. If you read “The DaVinci Code”, and entertain any of it's ideas as fact, or as even remotely possible as fact... then count yourself among the stupid people. You fit in. You've been used. You've been fooled. You have willingly allowed yourself to be led into the realm of “Stupid and Proud Of It”.

It's not just “The DaVinci Code” that is a result of all these misguided efforts either. There are still the stupid people (you know who you are, and so do we) who, as a result of this work of fiction, are pushing another group of fictional works as "fact", and those are the Gnostic Gospels. You've read them, too, right? I thought so. You'd be the type. You'd read them, just because you have the emotional responsibility of a 13 year old, and read the Gnostic Gospels because the Church has said you shouldn't. Who DOES the Church think it is? Why does the Church think it has the right to tell me what I can or can't read? The Church is telling you, because obviously someone needs to tell you since you can't seem to grasp the idea that reading FALSE gospels endangers your faith. Then again, why would someone as stupid as you understand that? You are too busy being a rebel without a clue. Have you noticed too, that the same people who have read the Gnostic Gospels, make the same mistake of calling the Gnostics "Christian", when in fact they were not? Have you also noticed that these same intellectually challenged people are the same ones who won't read or have never read the Gospels of Saints Matthew, Mark, Luke, or John? Yep. Definitely rebels without a clue.

All of these books, "The DaVinci Code", The Gnostic Gospels are false works that all Christians should be wary of, and be aware of what they really are. What they really are, are works of evil bent on the destruction of the Church. We are given a warning in the Gospel of Saint Matthew 24: 23 Then if any man shall say to you: Lo here is Christ, or there, do not believe him. 24 For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders, insomuch as to deceive (if possible) even the elect. 25 Behold I have told it to you, beforehand. This is exactly what all these false books are doing. They are all saying to those who read them, THIS is Jesus Christ. Each is claiming to give you the REAL Christ. The REAL Christ is the Christ of the Bible, and not the false Christ in "The DaVinci Code" or in the Gospels of Judas, Mary Magdalene, or Thomas. People think that the warnings in Matthew 24, and again in Mark 13: "21 And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; lo, he is here: do not believe. 22 For there will rise up false Christs and false prophets, and they shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce (if it were possible) even the elect. 23 Take you heed therefore; behold I have foretold you all things", are referring only to the physical aspects of claiming the presence of Christ. Be aware that these books, and others that will surely follow, are all saying to the readers, "lo, here is Christ, lo he is here". Then you will know, not to believe. Unless you are one of the stupid ones.

For they are saying to you, that the Christ of the Holy Bible, the Christ taught to us by the Apostles and the Traditions of the Church, is the false Christ, and that what they show you, is the true Christ. So, who are you going to believe? Men like Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John who were willing to die for what they wrote? Or someone like Dan Brown, and the pushers of the Gnostic Gospels, who are willing to get paid for what they wrote? Just remember. Judas got paid for what he did, too!
